Who I am

I grew up in Riga, Latvia, a city known for its Art Nouveau architecture, coastal charm, and endless pine forests. You can walk across the historic Old Town in under two hours, but it's packed with more inspiration than some cities ten times the size. It was the perfect place to develop a love for design, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.

Art was a constant growing up. I attended art school throughout my childhood in Riga and later went to a boarding art school for my junior and senior years of high school. That early creative education taught me discipline, a deep appreciation for process, and how to pay attention to the details that often go unnoticed.

I started out studying architecture at Washington State University, then shifted to interior design and earned my BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. That foundation in structure, form, and spatial thinking continues to influence how I approach my work.

Photography began during an internship at an interior design firm. I started photographing spaces just for fun, with no expectations, and quickly fell in love with it. I’m drawn to natural light and quiet details, capturing the feeling of a space or a moment without needing to over-style or overthink it.

Outside of photography, I’m a parent. That experience has shaped how I work, teaching me patience, focus, and the value of noticing beauty in everyday moments.
